The forests of Lake Oku-Biwako and Yamato Suigen no Mori.

We have acquired naming rights for the Yamakado Suigen no Mori forest in northern Shiga Prefecture.
The Yamakado Suigen no Mori is one of the largest wetlands and characteristic ecosystems in the prefecture, surrounded by satoyama
It boasts a history of more than 30,000 years.
We chose “Oku-Biwako Yamakado Suigen no Mori” (Forest of Lake Oku-Biwako and Yamakado Suigen) without the company name as the nickname.
We named it in the hope of spreading awareness of the water source to everyone in Japan.
To preserve the precious water source of Mother Lake Biwa for future generations,
We will continue to actively support conservation, restoration, and educational activities to preserve the precious water sources of Mother Lake Biwa for future generations.

On December 19, 2017, a signing ceremony was held in the presence of Shiga Prefecture Governor Taizo Mikazuki.


In appreciation of “the 85th anniversary of our founding,” Yamakyu sponsored the “Renewal Supporter” of the Lake Biwa Museum as part of its contribution to the local community.
